The classic hearty chilli - redone in a backcountry version which can either be veggie or with protein!
Serves 2-3 Weight approximately 482 g Gluten Free, Vegetarian Option
1 lb. lean ground beef (Cooked and dehydrated) [Optional] 1 can black beans - dehydrated 1 medium sweet potato. - sliced & dehydrated (about 50-75g dry) 1 can corn, dehydrated 40g tomato sauce dehydrated leather or powder 2 vegetable or beef bouillon cubes 2 Tbsp. chilli powder (3 if making for 3 people) 1 tsp. each: garlic, , garlic powder, cumin, and [optional]:coriander, cayenne, sugar 1 onion, dehydrated, chopped (about 15g) 1 Tbsp. oregano ½ cup aged Gouda or grated parmesan 1/2 jalapeno dehydrated 1 bell pepper, mushrooms, ect, dehydrated At home: Combine all ingredients in a sealable bag In Camp: Add all ingredients to a pot with 2 cups water or just enough to cover the top of ingredients. Boil, cover, and simmer 10-15 minutes, or until potato is cooked and ingredients are rehydrated. Serve with shaved Gouda or Parmesan. [Optional] Sub 1 cup water with 1 cup beer
